About the Role

We're looking for a creative and performance-driven Video Editor who can produce engaging content across paid advertising, organic social media, product launches, and promotional campaigns.

You'll collaborate closely with the client's marketing team to transform raw footage into polished, conversion-focused videos optimized for multiple digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Production

• Edit short- and long-form videos for:

  • Instagram Reels

  • TikTok

  • YouTube & YouTube Shorts

  • Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)

  • Landing pages

• Export videos in multiple formats (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, and 16:9) based on platform requirements.

• Add transitions, motion graphics, subtitles, captions, music, sound design, and branded elements where applicable.

• Repurpose raw footage and UGC into multiple creative variations for different audiences and funnel stages.

• Produce product demos, walkthroughs, instructional videos, promotional content, and hype videos.

Paid Advertising Creative

• Create high-performing video ads across awareness, consideration, and conversion campaigns.

• Apply proven Hook–Body–CTA frameworks to maximize engagement and conversions.

• Develop multiple creative variations for testing different messaging, hooks, and visual approaches.

• Iterate on creative based on campaign performance and audience insights.

• Research top-performing ads and competitors to identify winning creative trends.

Creative Performance & Optimization

• Edit with performance metrics in mind, including:

  • Watch time

  • Scroll-stop rate

  • Click-through rate (CTR)

  • Completion rate

• Ensure captions are accurate and optimized for readability.

• Contribute at least three new creative concepts each month.

• Stay current on social media trends and best practices.

Workflow & Collaboration

• Manage assigned tasks through Asana.

• Upload organized project files and exports to Google Drive.

• Communicate daily through Slack and WhatsApp.

• Participate in weekly team meetings.

• Collaborate closely with designers and marketers to ensure cohesive campaign execution.

Requirements

• Proven experience editing video for ecommerce, DTC, fitness, lifestyle, or consumer brands.

• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form content and paid advertising creatives.

• Excellent proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut Pro.

• Experience producing multiple content variations from the same footage efficiently.

• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, editing rhythm, and platform best practices.

• Experience creating content optimized for marketing performance.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while incorporating feedback effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with fitness, wellness, sports, or lifestyle brands.

• Familiarity with direct-response marketing principles.

• Experience editing UGC, influencer, or testimonial content.

• Basic motion graphics and animation skills.

Trial Period

The engagement begins with 1–2 paid contract projects . This allows both parties to evaluate communication, turnaround time, quality, and overall collaboration before moving into a longer-term engagement.

Compensation

Following a successful trial period, there is an opportunity to transition into a 3-month renewable monthly retainer .

Monthly Compensation: USD $1,500–$2,000 , depending on experience and portfolio.

Work Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours per week)

• Monday through Friday

• Minimum 4–5 hours overlap with Australian business hours (AEST)

• Flexibility during campaign launches and major content deadlines
