Who are we looking for?
Our client is seeking a Field Compliance Coordinator to join our Downstream OE & Compliance Division (DSOE&CD)
DSOE&CD is responsible for providing HSE guidance, support and oversight to the entire Downstream Portfolio.
Your primary role will be to assist with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental measures and initiatives to ensure compliance with corporate and local department HSE requirements and expectations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of related safety/operational experience and/or training, preferably in the oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge or training in occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards.
- Knowledge of delivering hands on health, safety and environmental training.
- Ability to assist with developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.
- Ability to lead and direct teams and/or committees. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and consultation to department staff to assist in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards and practices.
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Undertakes surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions. Conducts and coordinates on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Provides advice and counsel concerning compliance with corporate safety regulation and procedures.
- Perform construction site and/or area safety inspections of department facilities and operations. Performs job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepares written reports and recommendations.
- Develop controls for identified hazards. Coordinates the implementation of controls from results of hazard analyses. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommends changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place incidents and injuries.
- Prepare safety orientations, safety training, and job site inspection procedures. Directs or assists in the development of specialized education and training materials. Conducts specialized safety and environmental training programs to communicate hazard control information. Assists local management in new employee occupational health, safety and environmental orientation.
- Participate in Safe Operations Committee meetings.
- Review and analyze injury, property damage, and statistical loss data and works with management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
- Incorporate essential safety requirements in all purchasing and contracting actions. Recommends the purchase of safety equipment, related supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with established company requirements.
- Maintain awareness of corporate safety requirements and makes recommendations for their implementation.

- Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar skills
- Monthly Overbase – 25% of your monthly base salary
- Benefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, after 3 years of service, reward increases to 25% of base, after 6 years 30% of base, and after 12 years 35% of base
- Severance Package (2-year vest period) – year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 week's pay for each year after
- Employment Tax – if employee chooses to separate themselves from their ‘home country’ for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay ‘home country’ income taxes; company will not report income to the ‘home country’ governments. - Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service) – maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay with a cap, 20% share discount
- Incentive Plan – annual; based on performance, approx. 1.8x monthly base salary
- Travel Allowance – annual; approx. $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old
- Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays
- Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employee and eligible family members. In-Kingdom dental services subsidized
- Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48.5K), plus 3 round-trip economy air travel tickets; undergraduate college-age children get 2 round-trip economy air travel tickets; In Kingdom Assistance: 2x monthly base salary or the company max ($16.3K)
- Settling in Allowance – one-time payment; Family Status - 100% of monthly base salary; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary
