Junior Localization Project Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for a Junior Localization Project Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a Localization team.

This is a hands-on, process-driven role with a strong focus on quality assurance, project assignments, vendor coordination, file preparation, and straightforward project estimates .

A significant part of the position involves structured, repetitive, and detail-oriented tasks, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working with clear processes, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and can maintain a high level of accuracy throughout the day.

The role offers the opportunity to gradually develop broader localization project management skills and take on more complex projects over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial and final QA checks on localization projects, reviewing formatting, filenames, numbers, tags, language, completeness, client instructions, and other technical requirements.
• Prepare projects for assignment using CAT tools and translation management systems .
• Select appropriate approved translators, editors, proofreaders, DTP specialists, and other vendors.
• Send assignments, confirm availability, monitor deadlines, and proactively follow up on pending files or information.
• Prepare estimates for straightforward translation and localization projects.
• Review files to determine word counts, turnaround times, basic DTP requirements, and standard project needs.
• Coordinate straightforward localization projects and support Project Managers on more complex workflows.
• Track project status and deadlines throughout the production process.
• Communicate with vendors, internal teams, and clients regarding project requirements, questions, status, and deliveries.
• Prepare and finalize files for client delivery.
• Maintain accurate project and vendor information within internal systems.
• Identify routine issues and resolve them independently when possible, escalating linguistic, technical, or workflow concerns when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

• Approximately 1–3 years of professional experience , within localization, translation, an LSP, or project coordination environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple small requirements without overlooking important steps.
• Comfortable performing repetitive, structured, and QA-focused work consistently.
• Proactive and able to recognize tasks that require attention without waiting for individual instructions.
• Independent and comfortable taking ownership of routine responsibilities once properly trained.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing deadlines.
• Good judgment when deciding what can be handled independently and what should be escalated.
• Strong general computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Interest in developing a long-term career within Localization Project Management .

This position is best suited for someone who is still developing their localization project management career and wants to grow into broader responsibilities over time while remaining comfortable with the core operational work of QA, assignments, and project coordination .
