Clinical Data Management Associate Specialist
Merck
Merck seeks a Clinical Data Management Associate Specialist to execute core data management activities for clinical trials in Buenos Aires. The role manages data entry, validation, reconciliation, query resolution, and documentation to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance under senior staff direction.
Responsibilities
- Execute clinical data management activities for assigned studies per protocols, SOPs, and ICH-GCP requirements
- Support data review, reconciliation, logical consistency checks, and remediation across multiple data sources and systems
- Manage query workflows and collaborate with sites and service providers to resolve data discrepancies
- Identify and escalate data quality issues and risks with supporting context to assigned leadership
- Contribute to study documentation including Data Management Plans, Data Validation Plans, and electronic case report forms
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in data management, clinical trial operations, or related field
- Associate's degree preferred (Nursing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Allied Health, or IT); Bachelor's or advanced degree acceptable
- Basic knowledge of data collection, analysis, and summarization in research or medical settings
- Basic understanding of relational database concepts and data types
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and compliance requirements
- Clear communication skills and ability to document concise notes and status updates
- Proficiency in clinical data management, data entry, data validation, and audit trail documentation
