(Senior) Medical Director, Trial Physician - Neurology (Remote) - FSP

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Medical Director or Clinical Trial Physician to lead neurology clinical trial teams for a biotech client developing autoimmune treatments. The fully remote role requires medical leadership, protocol development, real-time study monitoring, and regulatory document preparation, with 10-20% travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership to study teams and develop clinical trial protocols incorporating latest scientific findings
- Monitor study data in real-time, ensure medical validity of endpoints, and identify safety issues early
- Interpret clinical trial data for regulatory submissions, manuscripts, and publications
- Serve as medical contact for investigators, IRBs, health authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP guidelines, and escalate medical risks to leadership
Requirements
- Medical degree with board certification preferred
- Neurology residency or fellowship with patient treatment or research experience
- 1-3 years clinical development experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO settings
- Expertise in neuromuscular diseases highly preferred
- Fluent English (written and spoken) with demonstrated NDA submission knowledge
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines for adverse event reporting
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for cross-functional teams
