Job Responsibilities

• The Principal Tech Business Architect proactively and holistically helps and guides the enterprise executives through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation of business strategy, outcomes and capabilities. The scope of activities includes helping the organization achieve targeted business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimizing costs and mitigating risks. This role focuses on the development of the business strategy and business architecture of the organization.

  This will be a hybrid role, working  two to three-days a week in our office in Buenos Aires.

  Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their goals, strategies, and challenges. Uncover needs that business partners and end users would not be able to articulate on their own
• Ensure that technology strategies and solutions are aligned with business objectives and can support future growth.
• Develop and document technology architecture that supports business processes, including creating models, diagrams, and frameworks.
• Design scalable and flexible technology solutions that integrate with existing systems and address business needs.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Quickly adapts to changes in business strategy; Helps business partners communicate solution value to key stakeholders
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather input, provide updates, and ensure alignment on STS initiatives.
• Participate in the development of STS strategies and roadmaps that align with business goals.
• Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovations that could benefit the organization.
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight for technology projects, ensuring they adhere to the defined architecture.
• Create and maintain detailed business architectural documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications.
• Report on the status of architecture initiatives, highlighting progress, risks, and areas needing attention.
• Provide guidance and training to technology teams and other stakeholders on architecture-related topics.
• Mentor junior architects and other team members to build architectural expertise within the organization.

• Qualifications

• Degree (BS/BA required, MS/MA preferred) in sciences or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and align IT architecture with business strategies and objectives.
• Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies to design and implement effective solutions.
• Understanding of CRO business processes, industry trends, and organizational dynamics to ensure IT solutions meet business needs.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex business problems, developing architectural models, and evaluating solutions.
• Strong ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration between business and STS teams.
• Knowledge of technical governance frameworks, standards, and regulations to ensure solutions comply with organizational policies.
• Ability to manage and adapt to changes in business requirements or technology to maintain alignment with business goals.
• Skill in identifying and resolving issues that impact the effectiveness of architecture and its alignment with business needs.
• Capacity to lead architectural initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive the adoption of best practices in IT architecture.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, extensive experience, and the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels.
