Role overview

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with Angular & Java/Spring Boot for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina.

Our client is an information technology organization that develops, implements, and supports software and hardware solutions for its members. The company delivers advanced solutions, services, and support to more than 1,000 independent communications companies, energy cooperatives, and public power entities in all 50 states, American Samoa, Palau, and Canada. It is an industry leader providing information technology solutions, including billing, accounting, operations, automated mailroom services, third-party integration, and many others.

The SmartHub application is our end-consumer-facing application, where customers can log in to view and pay their bills, monitor their usage, report problems, and more. It is used by more than 5 million end consumers each month. We are in the process of rewriting the entire UI and re-engineering the application to use a new set of backend services and logic that have been built. This position is approximately 60% frontend and 40% backend .

A key aspect of this role is AI-assisted development . Our client has invested heavily in AI coding tools and development pipelines. Contract developers will leverage these tools to generate UI code, evaluate AI-generated output for correctness and quality, iterate with AI tooling until the desired result is achieved, and integrate the final output into the application. Comfort working in this AI-augmented development model is essential

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript (Angular 19+ preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend service development.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, JetBrains AI, or similar).
• Experience building responsive, component-based web applications.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern frontend build tooling.
• Experience with automated testing using tools such as Cypress, Pact, and Jest.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Understanding of modern software engineering principles, including separation of concerns, modularity, component architecture, and reactive patterns.
• Experience with Git, including branching and merging workflows.
• Ability to work independently within an embedded team structure and follow established processes.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive Angular UI screens based on designs and requirements.
• Connect UI components to backend services and APIs.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Leverage AI coding tools and pipelines to generate, evaluate, and refine both frontend and backend code.
• Iterate with AI tooling to produce high-quality output, reviewing and validating generated code before integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams, including product owners, designers, backend developers, and QA engineers.
• Write unit and integration tests for UI components.
• Follow all established software development methodologies, coding standards, and procedures.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team ceremonies.
• Research, analyze, and resolve defects and technical issues.
